Children's Age?
Blog Sorting Out Your Classroom...
The first week of the holiday is usually a time to relax, kick back and not think AT ALL about school (apologies for those who are yet to break up!). For some, however, it can be a great opportunity to sort out your new classroom so it's not hanging over you for the next few weeks before the new term starts. Some of us are moving classrooms which has the double stress of clearing out your old stuff and sorting out your new room. Hopefully though, twinkl can lighten the load by giving you some ideas for classroom organisation! One of our facebook twinklers left a comment saying that whiteboards do NOT cope well in a dishwasher so thought I would pass that tip on! Ben from twitter suggested sharing some ideas for classroom organisation for this blog post, so here I go....
I love these super duper drawer labels, perfect for your new class to make them feel right at home straight away.
If you need to create a display with children's targets on, these rockets are ideal, and the children can write their own names in the middle.
There are also lots and lots of display borders to add a bit of "umph" to your walls, and plenty of display lettering if your handwriting is as messy as mine.
I'm still trying to work out what I'm going to do with my two small boys this week. Today, we did some gardening and then cut out some foam shapes to make "robots". My sons really enjoyed it and we did silly robot voices whilst talking about shapes and colours. Then we put some bottles and containers out all over the garden to collect rain (we have been talking a lot about water conservation recently) but I'm hoping that the time for rain collection has been and gone!
What are you all up to this week? :)
