A special festival in Japan. Its origins go back to China where dolls were made and then put in a river, with the hopen that this would rid the person f bad luck. This day is also called Girls' Day in Japan, and from mid to late February families with daughters put out the dolls with the hopes their daughters will grow up healthy and happy.

Yay! I suggested this. Fab event to promote the emotional well-being of girls especially when so many girls have negative self-image
