The Great Fire of London was a major disaster, lasting from Sunday, 2 September to Wednesday, 5 September 1666. The Great Fire started at the bakery of Thomas Farriner on Pudding Lane, shortly after midnight on Sunday, 2 September, and it spread rapidly west across the City of London destroing much of the old (Roman) city of London. A fantastic topic to study with your class!
