Positive Eye on Practical approaches to including children with vision impairment in your class

Gwyneth McCormack - Positive Eye

On Monday 7th September in the Twinkl SEN Educators Group, Positive Eye will be doing a livestream on 'Practical approaches to including children with vision impairment in your class'. To join the Twinkl SEN Group click here.

About the livestream....

Vision is the major way a child understands the world, of all the senses it provides the most information to the brain. Only vision can perceive shape, size, colour, distance, and spatial location all in one glance.

Consequently the impact on learning and development for a child with a visual impairment can be profound and lifelong. Learn about a range of practical approaches to enable access for a child with VI in your class.

The session will include:

  • Brief impact of vision impairment on learning and development
  • Supporting understanding of concepts
  • Access to distance vision tasks
  • Access to near vision tasks
  • Access to literacy
