Easter Island

Think

  • Where have they come from?
  • Who are they?
  • What are they for?
  • How were they made?
  • What are they watching?
  • What are they saying?
  • Who built the statues and why?
  • Are the statues male or female?
  • If you could ask a statue a question, what would it be?

Solve

There are fifteen statues in the line. Four of the statues are 2.2m tall, two are 3.1m, three are 2.1m, two are 2.5m, two are 1.8m and one is 1.9m. The total height of all fifteen statues is 33.9m.

How tall is the missing statue? What is the mean height? What is the difference between the tallest and shortest?
