News Play centre that bans fathers under investigation

A Birmingham soft play centre is being investigated by the Equality and Human Rights Commission after it decided to ban fathers from attending with their children.

  • vanadesse's Profile Picture vanadesse I don't think so because they'll have got negative publicity for it, not positive. I think it's for religious/cultural reasons according to the article. I know Sparkhill and it is a predominately Asian area and so there will be a large number of muslims there. Obviously the culture of Islam is different and does have those boundaries between men and women and so I can see the thinking behind it really, by making it women only, it means that those women can relax more and there aren't so many rules they have to follow because there aren't men there. · Aug 9th
