News Letter raises alarm on exam reform

Campaigners are handing in a letter to No 10 Downing Street urging Prime Minister David Cameron to rethink the pace of reforms to GCSEs.

    I think the standard of the current GCSEs is frighteneingly low, but I would prefer a return to the GCE (O) level and CSE exam. I think the current GCSE system is not challenging enough. When I did my exams I had to put 100% in to themand give up all outside activities. So many students I know are going out every night of the week and at weekends and still get As and A*s. This would have been totally impossible under the old system. Students need to realise that if you want to do well, you have to work hard in life.
