News New plan to crack down on poorly-qualified private tutors

New rules are to be introduced to regulate private tutors amid a surge in the number of middle-class parents paying for evening and weekend classes to boost children's performance in exams.

    I agree to some extent that not all tutors are as good as they should be. However, a lot of teachers in schools are also letting pupils down. I have had to mark coursework and teach in some cases the whole content of an A level course from scratch!
