News There are plenty of opponents of militarisation of our schools | @guardianletters

Giles Fraser inveighs against "the Trojan horse of militarisation of our schools" (Loose Canon, 28 June). He is being hypocritical: he needs to address simultaneously the fact that hundreds of parish churches display regimental army colours referencing past wars, "great" military encounters and possibly "the glorious dead".
