News Tuition fees 'hit applications'

An independent panel of experts says the increase in university tuition fees in England is affecting applications, with a "clear drop" in the numbers.

    I'd be interested to see though how much of that drop is actually because the view of University is changing in the current recession. Having a degree doen't guarantee you a better pid job, in fact, it doesn't guarantee you a job at all. Don't get me wrong, I completely see the value of Unviersity, job or no job, but many of those that I know who decided not to apply did so because of the job market, not fees.
