News VIDEO: A-levels set for major revamp

Education Secretary Michael Gove has announced changes to A-levels in England to make them more rigorous and reduce the number of exams taken.

    Years ago they used to have an O/A level which was a stand alone exam and then counted as an O level rather than half an A level. I have to admit that AS and A level exams in some subject areas are pretty good acedemically. The English Language and Literature, Literature and History exams cover a broad range of topics and are hard enough to pass. At least the WJEC boards are.
