  • This is an excellent resource for students just learning how to read.  They are excited to decode in order to be able to answer with a yes or no.  I use this as a supported work station where children work at their own pace, receiving assistance as needed.  At the end of the time, they hand in all the questions they have recorded on paper and answered - they are so proud of their accomplishments.

A set of useful word cards, which can be used for the yes/no activities as suggested in the DfES letters and sounds publication.
