  • Good for year 1, but want to use for SEN sentence structure lessons to highlight parts of speech. Please could we have some 'grown-up' pictures with more than one noun, a verb, and clear adjectives....?

    • Hi ambersinclair,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Would this resource meet your needs if I ask our resource team to add in adjectives to each one?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

    • Hi willowsyear1,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Before I ask our teacher team about this for you, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details about the resource you're looking for?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

    • I've only just seen this sorry!

I mean like pictures of 2 or 3 things doing something so the children can write plural sentences. for example - a picture of 2 ducks swimming "the ducks are swimming" or a picture of girls running "the girls are running" or a picture of foxes rolling down a hill "the foxes are rolling down the hill"

I hope this is clear as mud! Its just an extension of sentence writing including the SPAG target in the national curriculum 'making words plural by adding -s or -es'

thanks so much - all your resources are amazing!!

      miss B xx

  • These are great Early Morning Activity prompts for my Year 1 class. We've enlarged each individual picture and laminated them all, then as they come into class, they pick a random picture and write a short sentence or sentences with connectives about the picture. When we've taken the register, we identify the different parts of the sentence that we've written; verb, noun etc. Thanks!
