  • Hi,I'm confused about this game. If the pictures are on top of the words and sounds then surely the children can name the word without looking at the sound and word? I guess that it could work another way? The children could land on the word and sound - read them ad then locate the right picture?

    • Hi there,
The original intention of this game is to have the child say the word indicated by the picture, and then lift it up to check their answer and see which phoneme they used. Your idea of having the board of phonemes with the child having to find the matching picture card sounds like an excellent idea too though!

Use this board game to help reinforce the Phase 5 sounds with your children. Cut out the images and place them over the right words, getting your children to go through the game and see if they can work out the correct word and sound from the picture!
