Use this in my Year 5 classroom as a display under the heading 'Delicious Vocabulary'. Pupils have to find interesting, impressive vocabulary in their own reading. If the word is particularly impressive, they can write their word on a small post-it and stick it to the cupcake. At the end of each term, vocabulary is removed and stored in our own class vocabulary 'recipe' book. The recipe book is kept beneath the cupcake display.
