  • This resource needs updating- the exclamation marks are used correctly in the resource. You cannot, however, have "That really hurts" written in the second sub-heading under exclamation. It is a statement that uses an exclamation mark. Only sentences starting with how or what should be identified as exclamation sentences. Exclamation marks can be used for statements, commands and interjections. What big teeth you have! (Statement) Come here now! (Command) Wow! (Interjection)

  • Lovely resource, but the exclamation part needs correcting as they aren't exclamations - they don't all start with 'how' or 'what'.

    • Hi there smurph22,
We have looked in to this issue extensively, and the exclamations used in this resource are functioning as punctuation rather than as a demarcation of an 'exclamation sentence', so they do not need to begin with 'What' or 'How'. I hope this is useful information!
