  • Good idea to help students that need extra practise as well as needing that physical manipulation of the cubes. It could help them to be interested in the words and possibly increase the retention of that word.

This fun activity shows children how to make a range of high frequency words, using linking cubes. This activity could be used in a lesson, or placed in a maths or construction area for child-initiated learning. Please note: Some of the words will contain a mixture of lower- and upper-case letters, which you may find it helpful to point out or discuss with the children.
