I am going to use the hands for my High 5 activity. I am writing one vobaulary word on each finger. If they can use the 5 words correctly in sentences, they get points for their team. I am going to use the feet to play Step On It. There will be a number or vocab word on each foot. They will have to listen for my definition or clues and step on the right word or number.

I will use it as a reading incentive per hallway. Each hallway will have different color feet. When a student reads a book, he will be given a foot to complete by answering various fixed questions on the different genre (both Fiction Foot and a Nonfiction Foot will be available). Once the ELA teacher approves the foot, it will be placed in the hallway of said grade level. The first goal is for each ELA teacher's classes to meet the other ELA teacher's classes on their hallway. Once that has been completed, both teacher's ELA classes work towards the common's area of the school. Each hallway then works towards the Library/Media Center! We are using RUN DMC's "Walk this Way" as our theme. Wish us LUCK! This will be kicked off in September, 2013.
