  • Would love to see some more murder mystery problems that test other areas of maths. The questions are quite easy for Y6 and coordinates crops up twice. Morse code isn't on the KS2 maths curriculum so it would be great to have some others that cover some of the other areas of the maths programme of study.

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

  • I had to look at the answers to work out clue 2, I think a better description about how all the letters are replaced in the order of the short example is needed.

    • Hi tashybarts,

Thanks for your resource comment on the Twinkl website, we really appreciate your help.

I have had a look and you're right, it's been explained the wrong way around. I've asked our design team to change this for you and they'll be in touch once it has been corrected. In the meantime, you could explain to the children that As needs to be changed to Js, Bs need to be changed to Ks, Cs need to be changed to Ls, etc. This should then work to translate the message.

      I hope you have a lovely day : )

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

I've just taken a quick look and this is the only Murder mystery game we have.

  • Hi there sarafw, thanks so much for commenting on this resource. On clue 2 the reason we give replacement letters for A-D is so that you could figure out the rest of the code. There is an alternative version to this resource that gives you the answers! Hope this helps. :)

    , Apr 9th
  • Hi, just wondering about clue 2, it only gives you replacement letters for A-D......where are the rest of the letters to swap them with?xx
