  • Great resource - using part of it for a year 2 class on properties of shape.Would it be possible to get an editable version?Rectangles are a family of shape, not a shape itself, so I would like to change this for my class. It is actually an oblong.

  • Useful resource. Thanks very much. Is there any chance that at some point a lines of symmetry section could be added?

You're very welcome, glad we could help! :)

  • The '2D shape properties' sheet states that circles have 3 corners, a rectangle has 0 corners and a triangle has 4 corners! This information is not accurate!

    • Hi StMary2,
Thank you very much for commenting! It's great to hear from you :) I think the sheet you are referring to is the cut out and match activity. The children have to cut out the shapes then match them to the correct description, as they are not in the correct place.

  • Used for indep. chdn while working with a group- learnt names of 2D shapes last week so should require little input but will reinforce

  • Good resource, however 'vertices' are actually only used for 3D shapes. When two sides join together, it is called an edge.

    , Sep 30th
    • Vertices can be used in 2D shapes as an alternative to corners. When 2 faces join in 3D shapes it is called an edge. In 2D shapes they are simply sides. The resources are quite accurate.

    • Hi jennielou75,
Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. We do have a 'vertices' version of this resource available. You can see all the different versions below the pink 'download' button. If there is anything else we can help with, do let us know!

    • Good morning sheldon1724,
Thank you very much for commenting! It's great to hear from you :) It looks like from previous comments we did have a 'vertices' version. I have asked our lovely design team to try and locate and upload this version. We'll be back in touch shortly :)
