  • My P1-3s loved this. Please can the fractions be shown differently i.e the top number over the bottom number rather tham 1/2 which caught some of them out. Otherwise a brilliant activity. More pizza tomorrow!!!

The pizza has been divided up differently, so you have a whole pizza, one divided into halves and another into quarters. You could give each child a number of toppings to split into halves or quarters and identify fractions of amounts, or they could use a mix of toppings on the whole pizza and identify what fraction of the total they have of each topping. You could also use multiple copies of the whole pizza to divide the toppings into thirds, fifths etc with a group. Limitless possibilities depending on the skill you are practising!
