The garden has been divided up differently using pebbles, so you have a whole garden, one divided into halves and another into quarters. You could give each child a number of garden items to split into halves or quarters and identify fractions of amounts, or they could use a mix of garden items on the whole garden and identify what fraction of the total they have of each garden item. You could also use multiple copies of the whole garden to divide the garden items into thirds, fifths etc with a group. Limitless possibilities depending on the skill you are practising!
