The rockpool has been divided up differently with little pebbles, so you have a whole rockpool, one divided into halves and another into quarters. You could give each child a number of sea creatures to split into halves or quarters and identify fractions of amounts, or they could use a mix of sea creatures on the whole rockpool and identify what fraction of the total they have of each sea creature. You could also use multiple copies of the whole rockpool to divide the sea creatures into thirds, fifths etc with a group. Limitless possibilities depending on the skill you are practising!
