  • I think this is an excellent idea and was about to use it but wondered how children can create 4 different number sentences with the milkshake pictures? Surely there are only 2 (5+5=10 and 10-5=5.) Will still use this resource, but I will make sure that I only use 2 boxes for the last calculation and use it as a teaching point (Why are there only 2?) Also I would like to see some stories using zero. (10-0= 10 and 10+0 =10) as this is often a hard concept for year one children to understand. Thank you so much
