  • I like this resource and plan to use it to help my kids learn to recognise numerals to 20. I have a split Kindergarten/ Pre-Primary class and some of my kids have problems recognising what the numerals look like. The kindies can do numeral recognition to 10 and the PP children can do it to 20.

They can also be used as small playdough charts so the kids select the numerals and put small balls of playdough on the houses according to the numeral they pick up. I have a number chart in my class with objects to represent the numerals, the word and the numeral. By looking at the chart and counting the objects, the kids can match the objects to the correct numeral.

I also intend to use this activity to get the kids to order the numerals to 20. The houses can be placed in a row on the floor and the kids can work in pairs to assemble the numerals in order and I can see how well they managed to achieve the task.

This fun sorting activity is a great addition to your classroom resources! Featuring houses with blue and red doors and windows and separate doors with the numbers 0-20 printed on, this resource is a great way to get the children involved!
