    midterm asessment

  • Jul 27th

Is it possible to have these assessments without the aims like the other 2 Year 4 assessment packs please? The children seem to find having the aims on the assessment is more to read and a little confusing!

Thank you very much and for being so speedy! Less confusion for the children and very useful pre-topic gap analysis or post topic summative assessment for me.

      Hi naomigoff0309,

Thank you for getting in touch on the Twinkl website.

It doesn't look like we have created packs for our Term 2 and Term 3 resources yet, however all of our Year 4 Maths Assessment Tests (including Term 2 and Term 3) can be downloaded here:

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I hope you have a lovely day! : )

  • Nov 16th

    Hi there,
Just wondering if year 4 in the uk is the same as year 4 in Australia? Our children are normally 8 turning 9 in year 4.

    • Nov 16th

      Hi bek302,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Yes the children in year 4 in the UK are also 8 years old turning 9 in that school year.

      I hope this helps!

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

Is the Term 1 test going to be easier than the Term 2 and Term 3 tests?

    • Sep 29th

      Hi rach272,
Thank you for commenting! :) I'll ask our teaching team about this for you!

    • Jan 21st

      Hi there,

Our Term 2 and 3 assessments are not progressive. The term numbers have been used purely to differentiate between the assessments and all can be used to monitor children's learning throughout the course of Year 4. If there is anything further we can help with, please don't hesitate to get in touch - have a great day!

It would be better if this could be in an editable format. I would then use this to assess a topic at the end of a week. E.g. I have just done a week on subtraction, so would only use the subtraction questions for assessment this time round. Is it possible to get the word document version?

    • Apr 22nd

Hi there lisageary, thanks for your comment! As these have been made in PDF format it would be difficult to change them to be editable however, we are thinking of making smaller assessments so these may work well for your needs? :)

    • Aug 3rd

Hi lisageary! An editable version has now been sent to you and is available to download above! Let us know if you have any more great suggestions :)

  • Mar 22nd

Might use this a little while after the end of a unit or, further into the year, just before starting a unit, to see what they have retained. Great to have something which fits the new curriculum.

  • Mar 4th

a great resource to check understanding with new curriculum

  • Feb 6th

We did this as a blanket test and what we should do is use as an end of unit assessment. It was a useful reminder to teach the vocabulary at the beginning of each topic. As a school we are now going to give a daily reminder of all new vocabulary used!

  • Feb 5th

We`ve just done this today. Very scary!
