So glad I found this resource! I plan to use Gruffalo as a topic in my esl nursery to teach vocabulary, matching (I'll print two sets of the pictures). Possibly sequencing with (order appearance of animals) and matching locations with characters with the help of board book that the children can "read" by themselves.

I'm using these for the EAL children in reception. Good for speech and language.
Also use them in reception narratives again for EAL and children who tend not to interact much in school.

My son loves Gruffalo. He is all of 3 and can't read yet, but even then he can narrate the whole story. This is for him to add some drama to his telling :)

I have a private french student who is a school refuser - She is 15 years old - has a low level of english and lacks confidence! I have been doing the Gruffalo with her with the challenge that she will read it in english to my 4 year old son - she loves it! So this will be fabulous for extending her vocabulary. THANK YOU!!! This is my first free download and already I am sooooo pleased! Well done everybody!
