  • Hi
Please can you check this resource? The Deaf Unit at our school have told me that this is an American Number sign. Thank you, we use loads of your resources :o)

    • Hello! I hope you are well.
I've just spoken to one of our lovely designers who specialises in sign language. Sign language is regional and this particular resource is Northern, as we are based in Sheffield! There are similarities between American and British sign language, which can be confusing.

If you have any other questions about these particular resources, we have a Sign Languages Facebook group which you can join. I hope this clears up some confusion! :)

  • I am afraid that the number sign is wrong because the number should be front, not the "back of the hand" from a Deaf person.

    • Hello again :) I hope you are having a lovely day so far! I have just spoken to one of our lovely designers who specialises in sign language. The signs are correct as the resource is showing the sign from the view of the person making the signs. Let me know if you have any questions about this :)

    • Hi feeba92,

This fabulous poster features the different hand positions used to form the numbers 0-20 in British Sign Language, and the number of each. Great as a discussion prompt or reference. (Please note: British Sign Language has many regional dialects and the signs used in this resource may differ from the ones in your area.)
This resource is available in Standard, 2xA3, 2xA4, A3, A4 and Signers View.
