  • I plan to use this to teach the question words with EAL pupils. I will add pictures to make it more comprehensive. We will use it as a build up to comprehension work.

Who, What, Where, When Silly Sentence Cards

Who, What, Where, When Silly Sentence Cards - This activity supports the development of sentences and early narrative. The elements of the sentence are colour coded to match the question word resources (who = pink, what doing = purple, where = blue, when = green). This aims to support word order in sentences. The cards can be cut out and used to create silly sentences. These sentences can then be used to support the understanding of question words e.g., Who went swimming? What is the superhero doing?
