This activity supports the development of sentences and early narrative. The elements of the sentence are colour coded to match the question word resources (who = pink, what doing = purple, where = blue, when = green). This aims to support word order in sentences. The cards can be cut out and added to the sentence strips to create silly sentences. The sentence strips can then be used to support the understanding of question words e.g., Who went swimming? Where is the dinosaur? What is the girl doing? When did the chicken go swimming?
