  • We use the ‘open futures ‘ as part of our enhanced curriculum so this would be fab as an ‘ask it’ session , getting the children to use their knowledge of learnt vocabulary to describe the clothes, temperature, what foood would you like to eat ? Where in the world could you be ? The possibilities are endless .

This activity aims to support drawing inferences using visual clues. Each card has a picture of people and the student has to infer what the weather could be like on that day and add to the picture, e.g. drawing in a sun etc. This activity can be extended by asking why the student thinks could be added, e.g. what other item could this person use for this weather? This could also be repeated using the actual items rather than pictures. This activity will be useful for speech and language therapists, teachers and parents.
