  • I would like to use this for a SEN child who is learning to recognise letters, and I like all of the picture choices apart from i, x and y.  Whilst most of the pictures start with the phonetic sound (e.g. a - apple, b - banana etc), i and x do not (ice and xylophone).  Is it possible to change the pictures to something more phonetic, e.g. igloo and x-ray?  For the y, although yak is phonetic I'm not sure how many children have heard of a yak??  I would like my pupil to be able to get on with this independently whilst I am working with other children, and so something more easily recognisable like yoghurt or yoyo would be better.  Fab resource apart from those though and I'm sure my pupil will love matching the letter and pictures - thank you!

  • Used this resource for a treasure hunt on a Forset Schools session. The children were given the picture half of the egg and had to find the half with the matching initial sound.

This handy set of colouring sheets gives your children the opportunity to practise their colouring and fine motor skills, as well as giving them something lovely to take home with them or put up on display. Great for increasing familiarity with this topic and perfect for wet play!
