  • Hi Twinkl

How wonderful you are now doing three part cards. These are very clear nice and big and should be very useful. We are big fans of the three part card it is a great way of increasing vocabulary and breaking down learning into manageable chunks, please don't forget the cards aren't just for beginning readers they are useful for learning parts of diagrams all the way to ALevel.

Could you please include a title card so it is clear what the cards are for. Also where possible could you use real photographs. Would it be possible to have more cards? I would particularly like British trees, either with bark or leaf photos.

Well done to all at Twinkl

    Thank you very much

    • Hi timum2,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Before I ask our teacher team about this for you, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details about the resource you're looking for? Which British trees specifically would you like 3 part cards for? Would you like them with real photographs?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

    • Hi Twinkl
Sorry for the slow response. Any of the British trees you are likely to find in the countryside, rather than the ornamental ones in parks and gardens. Oak, English and pedunculate, Ash, elder, sweet and horse chestnut, Scots pine, beech, silver birch, the willows plus yew and holly. Real photos would be amazing, it would be fabulous to have the whole tree and perhaps a lea or maybe the leaf and a silhouette.

The idea is to help learn our native trees as well as read the names. I think this would be easier for my five year old than a field guide. I can also use them with my Beaver scouts.

      Many thanks

Use these three part cards for a range of differentiated activities from vocabulary development right through to spelling and writing practice, focusing on key words from this Parts of the Body topic.
