  • Helpful hints to put a spring in your lesson! When this resource is downloaded it will be in a zip pack which needs to be extracted. The PowerPoint and video files need to be extracted to the same folder to enable them to work. (Clicking extract all should work just fine.) If the videos aren't working try opening the folder and copying all the files. Paste them into a new folder and then open the PowerPoint file. Click enable editing and start the slideshow. Go to slide 4 and click the mouse - the video should start to play :)

  • This video won't open to play once downloaded. Says it's 'unable to expand'. Shame as looked ideal for what I wanted.

    • Hi laurenjess,
Thanks for letting us know that there are issues with this PowerPoint. I'm sorry to hear this and would love to help.
To enable our lovely PowerPoints to work properly, we suggest selecting 'Enable Editing' if this is displayed as an option. Any animations, links or other special features will work best when the PowerPoint is viewed as a Slideshow. To do this, simply click on the Slideshow tab and select 'View from beginning'. As this PowerPoint has video and audio, there are some helpful hints on the first slide about how to use these features. I hope this helps and I will also send a copy of this resource through to you. If you need further guidance please get back in touch and we'll find a solution! :)

  • I also cant get the videos to play, and this is on my home laptop so there are no firewalls. This is the message that comes up,
'The file you attempting to play has an extension (.) that does not match the file format. Playing the file may result in unexpected behaviour. Do you want the play to try to play this content?'
I have clicked yes but nothing happens.
    Thanks!

    • Hi anne25,
Thank you so much for getting in touch! It's lovely to hear from you :) I have taken a look at this video and it appears to play properly. If you click to enable editing, and then play as a slide show from the beginning. The videos are from You Tube, so it could be that your school's firewall is blocking access to them - you might want to chat to your IT technician about this :) If this is not the case, and you cannot access this at home either, please get back in touch and I'll take another look!
