  • This will be a good introduction to our theme which is covering pirates. Good background information for the children to create their own pirate characters.

  • In English we are looking at pirate stories and the children will write their own. They will create their own pirate character and this will introduce famous pirates so that they can magpie ideas.

I've had a look and changed the file type for you so you should be able to view the slide set up now once you clear your cache and refresh the page. The powerpoint should already be saved in your downloads folder but if you would like to save it in a specific folder then you can do this by right clicking on the big pink download button and picking "save link as.." from the options. :)

  • I love this resource but I am unable to view the slide set up etc or save it. With the other resources I can see what is on each slide in Powerpoint preview. Any suggestions?

  • If you get a chance to update this resource at a later stage, might I suggest adding Grainne (Grace) O'Malley, the Irish pirate queen, contemporary of Elizabeth !, or Ching Shih, Mary Read, Anne Bonny amongst the more "rambunctious" of female pirates!
