This resource is wrong. If you are teaching young children the concept of counting back for subtracting/taking away then the bottles in this powerpoint are numbered wrongly. Then should be numbered from 1 to 10 and when you take 1 bottle away you take it from the right so it shows that there are 9 bottles left and so on. As it stands it is introducing some misconceptions. This is disappointing.

Ten Green Bottles PowerPoint

Ten Green Bottles PowerPoint - This powerpoint features the classic children's nursery rhyme 'Ten Green Bottles' with lovely hand drawn images to illustrate it. Incredily catchy it's great for demonstating the use of rhyme, and for counting back. Once your children know the song, you can use it to help them count back from higher numbers too! Once your children are familiar with the concept, try using it to demonstate subtraction by asking questions such as "If I have 20 bottles stood no a wall and 7 fall off and break, how many are left?"
