    • Good afetrnoon peterbutton,
Thank you very much for commenting! It's great to hear from you :) We already have a larger font version if you look under the pink 'download' button. Is this font still too small? If so let us know and we will make it larger for you :)

  • A really, really useful resource. Thank you so much!

A couple of small errors (I think) that I thought you might like to know about. The answers do not match the reading booklet for question 26 as the properties of teeth are incorrect in the reading booklet I believe. Also, a query over the labeling of the teeth. There is a wisdom tooth in the diagram and that is not labelled/accounted for. Otherwise there's an extra tooth between the canine and the pre-molars I believe!

    • Hi ljventress,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

If you look at the description of this resource, it does not state that a spreadsheet is included as part of this pack. However, i've taken a look for you and we do have one available which you can download here: http://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-pa-860-new-year-4-term-1-reading-assessment-spreadsheet
I hope this helps but please let me know if I can help you further.
      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

    • Hi nearlythere,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Before I ask our teacher team about this for you, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details about the resource you're looking for?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

    • Hi, we have a visually impaired child who will not be able to read the small font on the answer booklet. You have kindly enlarged the font on the reading booklet but not on the answer booklet. Could you possibly resize the font on the answer booklet to a size 14/16, or provide an editable version so I can change the font myself? Thanks :-)

    • Hi swall06,
Thanks for your message, it is lovely to hear from you. We do not currently have KS1 reading assessments available. However more of these assessments for other year groups are currently being created so keep an eye out on our website for these.

      Have a lovely day! :)

  • Hi,

This has been a really useful resource, each of the 3 teachers in Y4 have used it at my school - thank you! We were wondering however, whether there is a spread sheet available for this term like there is for the term 2 and 3 reading assessments? We are wanting to analyse the data now and a spread sheet like the other 2 would be very helpful! Thanks!

    • Hi lw1988,
Great to hear it will be so useful :) Thanks for your feedback!
Fab news - the term 1 spread sheet is in the pipeline. We're so sorry to keep you waiting. Thank you for your patience and for the support of you and your colleagues. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready. Happy assessing :)

  • In the text about teeth it says that Incisors are used for tearing, and in the mark scheme it says that incisors are used for cutting and chopping food. Please can the text be corrected. Many thanks.

  • Hi. I'm hoping to make the most of these assessments before Christmas. In the mark scheme it references 'content domain' and then a 2 followed by a letter. These are obviously statements from the national curriculum but have you got a document about how you have organised it and numbered it? This would help in terms of gap analysis. Thanks.

Thanks for commenting. I'll just need to speak to the teacher team about his but I'll get back to you as soon as possible! :)

    • Hi there,
Thanks for your patience while I looked into this. Could this be the resource you need? http://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t2-e-1796-new-reading-assessment-overview

  • Will there be anymore of these produced? For example one for each term?

    , Oct 19th
  • Looks like a very useful resource- thank you. I was just wondering if there was any guidance on how much time to give the children? Is it one hour- similar to the Y6 test? Also it provides useful information on identifying gaps in learning but I was wondering if there was any suggestion on an approximate threshold (e.g. working below, within, exceeding)? I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to work this out but just in case someone had already thought of it or provided something?

    Thanks again

  • Hi, I have used this as a baseline assessment with my Year 5 but when I am marking the bit on teeth, I think there may be a mistake. The canines are surely used to tear food and the incisors are used to cut up food? It has them the opposite way on here.

    Thanks,

    Beth
