  • The heading suggests that these sheets are on 'fronted' adverbials but the tasks do not use adverbials at the front of the sentence!  Good activity but wrongly labelled.

Children are asked to read the sentences and underline the verb in red and the adverbial in purple. They are then challenged to change the sentences around so that the adverbial comes before the verb to make a fronted adverbial. Children are reminded to make sure they add the comma into the correct place.
