    • My understanding is that, in America, a comma is used before a coordinating conjunction but not in the UK. Is this incorrect?

    • Hi there,
Our lovely teacher team have looked in to this and determined that in the UK a comma before a coordinating conjunction is often useful, but not mandatory. I hope this helps!

  • Very useful resource. Good if used after a quick revision of main/subordinate clauses. Quick spelling check - slide 5 has 'dependant' (= noun) rather than 'dependent' (verb). Thanks!
