This activity will help children develop a chronologically secure knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history, establishing clear narratives within and across the periods they study by creating a timeline that organises the key events during the Ancient Islamic Civilisation and establishing what was happening in other parts of the world at the same time. Teacher notes provide guidance and blank timelines give guidance to children working individually or as a group.
