  • Hi can you please let me know if there is a version of this with thousandths and also whether there is a version where the numbers slide through horizontally rather than vertically to support with multiplying/dividing by 10, 100 and 1000? Thank you.

    • Hey there Natasha,
Thanks for commenting, it's lovely to hear from you.

We do have a millions version available here http://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t2-m-1731-place-value-maths-sliders-including-t-h-th-m, however, this also uses 'ones' instead of units as this is a requirement of the 2014 National Curriculum.
I can certainly ask our resource team if they can produce you a units version so do let me know if you would like me to send this request through.
      Have a lovely evening! :)

  • I really like this resource and am adapting it using the editable version. However, just to let you know that this version has an error on the place headings.

    • Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Sorry to hear that you have spotted a mistake on the resource. Please could you tell us more about this mistake so that we can get this corrected by one of our designers? We look forward to hearing from you. Have a lovely day :)

  • I like the idea to support lower ability, but it would be great if there were different versions - one with decimal places on, for example, a 3-digit one, and so on. Would it be possible to get versions which have the place value actually marked on (names of columns - ones, tens, etc)? Just a thought.

These colourful sliders are an essential aid for teaching place value! First cut out the number strips, then carefully (don't go too far!) cut the coloured sliders along the dotted lines. You can then slot the number strips into the sliders and voila! A very handy numeracy teaching aid.
