  • Can you check question 14. The answer sheet says it should be 74 but We make it 80. 24/6= 4, 81-4 = 77 +3 = 80.

    • Good afternoon Coxy1987!
Thank you for getting in touch. I have checked the answer to question 17. Question 17 is 72 - (8x7) + 9 = which is the same as 72 - 56 + 9 which is the same as 16 + 9 which makes 25 (which is the answer on the answer sheet). I hope that's helpful. :) Please let me know if you have any more questions and I'd be happy to help.

    • I still disagree, you add before you subtract therefore it becomes 72- (56+9) which is 72 - 65 which is 7...
If we teach bidmas (or bidmas) then we need to actually follow it...

    • Hi Coxy1987,
Thank you so much for getting in touch! It's lovely to hear from you :)
Our BODMAS resources are designed so that addition and subtraction are treated equally and are done in left to right order. This resource has been thoroughly checked and it is correct when this principle is applied. I hope this helps to clarify things!

  • This activity is good but has quite a few mistakes on the answers page. I can't remember all of them but question 14 is an example: 24 divided by 6 = 4 4 + 3 = 7 72 - 7 = 65The answer sheet gives an incorrect number
