  • What a great resource! However, on the middle ability answer sheet there is an error -it should be 3/5 and not 4/5 for Q4.

      I'm glad this resource is useful! Thanks for letting us know :) Having a look at this resource each pair of blocks total the block above them. The bottom row on the middle ability sheet question 4 add up to 1, as does the second row. Could you please tell me a bit more about how there seems to be a mistake?     • It's the answer sheet with the error. Bottom left on number 4 should be 3/5 so it adds to 1/5 to make 4/5.

  • This resource was great for Y4 - Adding fractions with like denominators (and extending HA to apply understanding of equivalent fractions).

      My apologies, you are correct the higher ability version doesn't have different denominators. I have asked our lovely teacher team if it is possible to create a version with different denominators to really challenge the children!
