  • Hi I am having difficulty with this resource. I am inputting the codes 1, 2 and 3 which are meant to colour code the cells red, orange or green but this is not working and it is just leaving the number. Is there anything I can do to make this work?

  • Hi
I am having a brain fail moment. Is there a way to use these to ahow progress across the year? Or would it just be a year on year comparison and more useful to close the gaps?

  • Hi, the spread sheets are just what I am looking for and using the maths one. Are you planning the same (or do you have) for writing and reading?

    Thanks

  • Hi, do these tests have level descriptors to go with them? Something to show the range of marks which indicate whether the children are working at the below/above or expected level. Thanks

    • Hi there laura_a_simpson, thanks for your comment! I have asked one of our teacher advisors to advise on this and I will be in touch about their thoughts. :)

    • Hi Laura, thank you for your question.
These sheets have been designed to inform progress and highlight strengths and weaknesses to inform future planning/table groups/evidence for pupil progress/conversations with parents etc. As these aims are what you would expect an average child to have achieved by the end of the year, the expectation would change throughout the year. ie an average child might have only 20% of the boxes green at the beginning of the year, but 80% at the end with the others orange. But this is very much down to individual opinion, you might decide that the expectation would be 100% green by the end of the year. Children working above expectations might be looking at aims from the year group above, although government advice is that children should be revisiting, consolidating, and using and applying the skills learnt in other ways rather than jumping ahead to new skills.
It might be helpful if there was a numerical total for each child at the bottom of each column, another reference alongside the colour coding to see how much progress they were making. If this is something you think would be useful please let me know as we could easily make this amendment so it was calculated automatically in all our spreadsheets :).

    • Reading the above , yes I would find an extra column
helpful to show progress made. Look forward to using these up to date assessments with my Year Threes.
