  • Hi there TWINKL,

If you have a looked at the Revised Programme of Study for Mathematics, the Function Machine is needed to be taught from as early with year 3 (Addition and subtraction) and year 4 (all four operations). Do you think any more of these could be done to reflect the different age groups with editable worksheets etc?

    Thanks guys.

    • Hi nigelhughes,
Thank you for getting in touch with your resource suggestion! Everyday here at Twinkl we get thousands of requests for new resources. Due to the large numbers, we are unable to make all of the resources requested. If we can make your resource we will be in touch to let you know, though we cannot guarantee when it will be completed. If there is anything else we can help with, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Have a great day :)

    • Hi mariaames,

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

Before I ask our teacher team about this for you, I was wondering if you could provide a few more details about the resource you're looking for? Would you like the function machine and input numbers to be editable? Would you like the examples on the sheet to be two-step i.e. two function machines?

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

  • Great resource! I would be good if there was a work sheet to accompany the activities included.
