  • The last sheet says 'calculate the area in mm in the title and instructions. It should say SQUARE mm or mm2 - units need to be accurate or children will be confused

  • Hi, is there any way this could be extended so that there is a rectangle inside the shape, so that the children have to find the area of the larger shape, but take away the area of the smaller shape inside? Hope that makes sense!

  • Do you have a higher ability sheet available where they have to measure the sides (one in whole cm and one in cm and mm? Also one for finding the area of triangles would be really useful too. Thank you :)

  • Thank you for your speedy response! The new version is much better. I would just tweak it so that we don't have 2 5x3 questions side by side at the bottom, but apart from that it's perfect!

Thank you for your comment on the Twinkl website.

I will pass this on to our resource team for correction straight away.

      I hope you have a lovely day! : )

  • When I printed the higher ability document I expected the children to be able to measure the sides... This would have been difficult as the shapes were not in full centimetres. I added handwritten measurements for the children to multiply but I felt that the presentation would have been nicer if they had already been included.
