  • I don't think it's strictly necessary to say 'usually seeks company from the opposite sex' in order to mate. It would be much more useful to say that the male's sperm meets the female's egg and forms an embryo. Then it is accounting for all relationships. Also, it's not very clear by following that up with 'adult female nurses their young', then the embryo stage
