  • I agree with the comment below and would also like  a female teacher with a boy and girl pupil? I have looked under the resource updates and tried searching but can only find the male teacher version. Could you help? The rest of the resource is lovely. Thanks Tracy

    • Hi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! This resource has now been updated! We have added second page to the Good Teacher and a Good Pupil Activity Sheet with a female teacher on it. :-)

  • I'm going to use these as early morning and PSHE sessions at the beginning of the new year. On your resource you have a  good teacher and a good pupil as both male. Is it possible to have a female teacher with a boy and girl pupil and then a make teacher with a male and female pupil? Many thanks

  • A good bank of resources. Could the my life in numbers sheet be editable as we have a number of children without a house number? I was thinking of replacing with letters in my name and birth month sum. Another version of this would be for the children to make a sum up which gives the answer to the question.

  • Thank you so much - I will have a proper look at the activity mats - they looks useful and fun :)

    • Hi there,
I'm glad you like them! Hopefully the children find them as fun as you do! :-)

  • Some lovely ideas. I will filter through them again and, due to having 100% EAL, will probably create a PowerPoint to explain and demonstrate the activities I think will help me get to know my new class.  I feel it could be improved further by having more numeracy based activities.  Short if sitting a test in the first week back it is tricky to assess without relying on the previous teacher's input.

    • Hi LittleStar23,
It's always lovely to hear that people like our resources. Thank you so much for letting us know! :) If you can provide me with some more information about the type of numeracy activities you would like I could have a look for you?

    • Hiya, something along the lines of 'My life in numbers', but checking their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division techniques. Something time orientated would be useful, using times tables, checking understanding of vocabulary like perimeter or area - but fun. Sort of investigative or a colouring activity that checks out their understanding of fractions. Could be these are on the site already, but elsewhere. I like to assess the children when I first meet them to enable target setting by them and me - but hate welcoming them back with a test :(
