This is the second lesson of a topic on safe practice in dance. It can be used at the beginning of any PE (Dance) units with new classes at KS3. It can also be used as an introduction to anatomy and physiology. This unit is an introduction to safe dance practices and also allows students to start to experiment with body movements. Students perform and create movement/dance sequences relative to their own bodies’ skeletal and muscular limitations and capabilities, engaging in activities individually, in pairs and as part of a group.
