An exciting lesson where children make marks in sand using a range of objects and the detective has to work out which marks belong to which objects. The detailed plan describes the adult role in easy to follow steps. It also contains a main learning intention, key questions and vocabulary, details of resources, differentiation, ideas for extension into continuous provision and opportunities for observation and assessment.
